About Lifeline Bolton

Lifeline works closely with communities and localities, and produces educative and digital material designed to encourage access to help. We also work to educate professionals in allied sectors and the general public on substance misuse. We provide access, intervention and medical treatment for residents of Bolton with any form of substance use/misuse issue including alcohol related issues. We also provide support for the family and carers of those using or abusing legal and illegal drugs and alcohol and provide current and up to date training for professionals working in the Local Authority area around drug awareness and supporting access to treatment services. At Lifeline we believe that volunteers play an integral role in our service delivery and supporting recovery of our service users and we are looking to recruit individuals with a wide variety of experience and skills.

What are they looking for?

Given the nature of this position previous experience of working in a caf or restaurant environment would be desirable. We require volunteers that can work on Saturdays and if possible for a short period of time on a Friday afternoon to set up ready for opening. Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate would be an advantage.
This is dependent on your availability and the needs of the team, as a guide it is recommended that you maintain regular weekly contact with your supervisor and volunteer with the service for a minimum of two hours per week, ideally on a Saturday.
