2012 Festival of Ideas Volunteer
University of Cambridge
About the opportunity
Can you spare a couple of hours to benefit the community now or in the future? If so, the Festival of Ideas needs you!
The Cambridge Festival of Ideas celebrates the arts, humanities and social sciences and runs from Wednesday 24th October - Sunday 4th November 2012 with the main day of the Festival taking place on the University's Sidgwick Site on Saturday 3rd November.
We need volunteers to help out on the main day of the Festival as well as throughout the Festival in the evenings. These events will be very busy and we will require assistance managing visitors, providing information to the public and stewarding talks, workshops and performances.
Volunteering at the Festival of Ideas provides the opportunity to not only take part in the country's first arts, humanities and social sciences festival, but also to see the range of talks, demonstrations and hands on activities we have to offer.

The programmes we co-ordinate include the Cambridge Science Festival, the Festival of Ideas, Open Cambridge, Bridge the Gap charity walk and the Cambridge Community Knowledge Exchange. We provide public engagement advice, training and networks for University staff and students.
