How to register V-Base
New to V-Base or having problems registering your copy? Help is at hand.
Once you have installed V-Base for the first time, you will need to register your copy of V-Base.

Launch V-Base by double clicking on the V-Base icon. Once it has loaded, click on the 'Register' red exclamation mark icon from the top navigation bar. This will launch the V-Base registration wizard.

Enter your registration name and number (provided by us) and go to step 2.
If you do not have your registration details to hand please contact us.

Please note: You may need to be a local administrator to the computer you are registering V-Base on in order to progress past step one. If you are unsure who your local adminstrator is, contact your IT team. If you are still having problems please refer to the V-Base registration troubleshooting guide.

On step 2, complete your contact details in the form provided (if V-Base has found a copy of your networked database these details should already be filled in). The information you enter into this field are the public details you aer shown on the Do-it website. It is possible to change this information later (see our How to change contact details guide).

Enter the username and password for new administrator (if a database has been found you will be notified that there are other administrators). Please make sure you enter a username and password you will be able to remember. If you forget this information you will need to register your copy of V-Base again.

Finally, if you are using V-Base 2.5, please uncheck "Check the Internet for any Updates to V-Base" and select "Finish".
This will successfully register your copy of V-Base. Please note that if you are to install V-Base on more than one computer you will need to register on each individual machine.
