Advisory Groups
Added to Do-it knowledge bank on April 14, 2010Do-it has established a number of different advisory and user groups to help us develop the overall strategy for the National Volunteering Database and ensure that our products and services continually meet partner and volunteer needs
There are currently three main groups:
- National Volunteering Database advisory group
- V-Base development advisory group
- Member advisory panel
The terms of reference for each group can be downloaded below which will provide some insight into the role and scope of the groups.
We will be reviewing our existing and potential advisory and user groups in 2010.
NVD (National Volunteering Database) advisory group
YouthNet aims to utilise the vast potential of new and emerging technologies to make information on the NVD as widely accessible to the general public as possible.
In order for us to achieve this, YouthNet requires the support of representatives from the volunteer sector and related media and government, and so has established a national advisory group.
VDAG (V-Base development advisory group)
V-Base is YouthNet's volunteering and contact management software, which allows users to post and manage their opportunities directly onto the Do-it website. The V-Base development advisory group ensures that any redevelopment of the software meets the needs of stakeholder groups and is accountable to them.
MAP (member advisory panel)
The member advisory panel in an online group that has been establised so that YouthNet's partners can feed into the development of, and identify how the interact with, the NVD, V-Base, V-Base Recruiter and Do-it .
