The opportunity
St Hilda's require volunteers for their creche, to communicate with and interact with children under 5 calmly and in a structured play, setting along with other adults.
Tasks include welcoming parents and children into the creche, assisting staff with the setting up and clearing away of activities. This is an ideal opportunity to gain experience of working with children.
The organisation
St Hilda's organise and facilitate many services to the local community including, a youth club, women's group, pensioners' group etc.
Skills/Qualifications
No previous experience is necessary. You should enjoy working with children. You will be police-checked for this role, as it involves work with children.
Volunteers can choose to work a whole day or half day (11am-1pm, or 1pm-4pm). The creche is open 10am-4pm, so you need to be available during these hours. You should be able to commit 4 hours per week. Volunteers are urgently needed for Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at present.

Getting there
St Hilda's is based just off Bethnal Green Road behind Rich Mix. It is accessible via Bethnal Green, Liverpool Street and Old Street tube stations.
