The opportunity

TheSite.org goes through a huge amount of images for articles, promotional work, email updates and even blog entries.
We always try to avoid using bland corporate images but this means we have to search through royalty free websites looking for the best thing we can find. These images may be OK, but they
don't really capture the people we're writing about and for, or take advantage of the quality of our audience's personal photography work.

So we're looking for volunteers who can send us their digital photography that they wouldn't mind us using for illustrating articles. It's a great way to get your photography out there on a website
with a huge audience, and would make a big difference to what we publish.

The opportunity is entirely based online, so it doesn't matter where you are, you can still take part. It'll be up to you how much time
you commit and uploading images will be kept as easy as possible. Just get in touch and we'll discuss the details.

The organisation

YouthNet aims to create a socially inclusive environment where young people living in the UK are engaged, informed and inspired to achieve their ambitions and dreams. We deliver high-quality information, signposting and frontline emotional support primarily through the internet, but increasingly through mobile phones, digital interactive TV and hand-held devices - the tools that are central to the way young people communicate. We do this through our two award-winning websites: TheSite.org, which provides support and guidance to 16-24 year olds; and do-it.org.uk, which links users to volunteering opportunities through the National Volunteering Database. We've formed groundbreaking partnerships, developed our very own software, helped to inspire people from diverse backgrounds to volunteer, and given millions of young people the advice and support they need to live their lives with confidence.
