Spring Into Action
The British Trust for Conservation Volunteers (BTCV) are running their annual Spring Into Action campaign from 1 May to 7 June. The aim is to get more people involved in looking after local wildlife and green spaces. In 2006, over 13,000 people joined in with more than 700 events.
Events are happening all across the country, with opportunities for both one-off volunteering and ongoing commitments.
"This year's Spring into Action campaign will build on the outstanding success of last year's events," explains Tom Flood, the Chief Executive of BTCV. "Concern about environmental damage has never been higher, and this is a great way to work together to restore and improve our local spaces to the benefit of all."
