The Students' Blog
If you think students spend all their spare time avoiding studying, going out with their mates and having a good time then you'd be right. Well our student bloggers do anyway. While they assure us they don't slack on the study, they've got a lot to answer for when it comes to enjoying themselves while volunteering.

My new career plan...!
My new career plan…!
Before I started St. John I wanted to be a teacher. But now, keeping the theme of children I want to be an educational psychologist. I know they are similar in ways, but in some ways they are really different.
I changed my mind for a few reasons. Firstly I have seen the amazing effect an educational psychologist can have, through volunteering and I want to be able to make a difference to young people like that.
I also want to be able to work with a variety of different age groups, just like I do at cadets. There, I work with children from ten to people my age. I love the variety and so teaching just one year group didn’t appeal as much any more. I want the challenge and variety of working with all different age groups from all walks of life and trying to make a difference and can’t wait till uni so I can start training.
