Hear the voice of young females

Hey everybody!

My name is Tashi and I'm at a sixth form in South London. I'm doing Maths, Sociology, Spanish & Psychology AS Levels. As well as trying to do loads of extra curricular activities, gain work experience and research into my future career and of courses, like any normal teenager, have a Social Life!

Many of the people I have spoken to have raised the fact that they see the Council of Girls as a great opportunity to be involved in what should hopefully be a march of progress in making people more aware of the true feelings behind young females, instead of adults trying to write as if they can actually relate to everything we as young ladies think about. Therefore, I hope that by the end of the academic year the Council of Girls will have made some sort of progress and more girls will decide to get on board.

So far the Council of Girls has been a great deal of fun as some of the other girls have pointed out. But for me one of the main highlights has been making progress with the magazine, which was slow to take off but now we are moving along quite nicely. Within my sixth form we have had a meeting giving everyone the opportunity to have their say on designated areas. Some of their views will be added to the magazine.

Anyway, I hope this little snippet helps make you realise that the we aren't just all mouth but that we have an aim and as a group we have the determination to follow through.

Nevertheless, for me personally my AS Levels take priority of course as I have high hopes for myself and plan on making it to the top, not conforming to the many stereotypes the youth of today are given.

But, for now I shall go and will be back soon. Bye! xXx
