The Community blog
All kinds of volunteering can make a difference to society, but opportunities like these have community enrichment at their core.
The madness is over
Well since Feile 10 finished (that's the town's festival and the 10 being for this year of course) it's been non-stop from writing thank you letters and evaluating the event to getting the events costings sorted. I've also been working out who did what volunteeering wise and seeing if the hours of volunteering completed have broken the record of last year which I'm assured they did. I've been working on reception a couple of times which sends me mad if I'm honest it's either so busy and non-stop or its creepily quiet, there just isn't an inbetween. I will be on again this week for a couple of hours as I've been asked to while the usual volunteers are doing a 'Fuel bag packing event'.
I swear the photocopying machine see's me coming, and decides not to work or that it's going to play games it just didn't want to do what it was asked to do. But along with someone else we got it work and I left it and didn't photocopy anything then for rest of the week ha ha!
All volunteer forms that I was changing are finally changed now and in full swing being used so far no complaints so the changes must be working!
